Jim was talking about bras with Makenzie and their use. So, Preston was right there and said he knew why they were used. How? "Bras are so that milk doesn't squirt out all over". I guess I did just quit nursing Jackson a year ago. Andour reaction? We laughed ourselves silly!

Funny Things

I have decided that I am going to start writing some of the funny and cute things that my kids say to me. A couple of days ago I got a diet coke from my in-laws house and brought it home. Maddie wanted some but I told her that she couldn't have any because it had caffeine in it. I was drinking the rest today and she saw that it was empty and said "Is your caffeine all gone Mom?"

We went on a short day trip to Hershey Pennsylvania to the chocolate factory when my dad came to visit. Here are some good pics!

We had our ultrasound yesterday, and it was great!! There was no question as to the sex of the baby. He was very cooperative. They did find a couple of potential problems, so they are sending me to a high-risk doctor just for a precaution. They don't anticipate it to be serious, but I appreciate the extra opinions. The names we have narrowed it down to are Jackson (my favorite), Owen, and Ethan. What do you think??

Dear friends and family,
A quick announcement: We are expecting baby #4 in July!!! We found out yesterday and we are so excited! (shocked, rather). I am fourteen weeks along, which means that Maddie and this new one will be fourteen months apart. I guess if the Lord wants you to have it, you'll get it. No, this was not planned, and yes, I am nervous because it will be hard. I started to show this week, so there is no hiding it from anyone...you basically found out when we did!

sick of sick

I haven't posted for a while, but I have a good reason. I've been sick over a month and have been on four different anti-biotics. My infection is gone, but I am still sick. The kids are doing great. Makenzie will star in her first grade play tonight and she is loving every minute of it. She gets 100% on all her tests and work. She's soo smart! She loves to read. Preston is enjoying pre-school most days. He's our difficult one right now. Always testing his limits. We love him anyway. Maddie is seven months old and can sit and play with toys for hours. She is a very sweet and happy baby. We do love our Maddie. We're decorated for Christmas and waiting for winter break...all three kids at home. Hmmmm.

This year we took our kids to the Old McDonalds pumpkin patch. There were hay rides, a corn maze, small petting farm, live local music, a playground, pumpkins, everything. We had so much fun! Here are several pics from our fun day.

My Husband

I just want to give a quick shout out to my husband Jim. I love him sooo much!! He helps me with the kids everyday after a long day of work. He makes time on the weekends to do lots of fun things with the family. He is a great provider. He is motivated to go back to school and work his tail off for the betterment of our family. He has a strong testimony. He is a worthy priesthood holder. He is an avid soccer and football watcher. (go Arsenal!!!) He is reading the twilight series and actually really likes them. How many girls can say that?! I know I am lucky. I love you Jim!!

Yummy Eats!

Maddie turned four months old about 11 days ago, so we started her on oatmeal cereal. She loved it!! We took her into the doctor for her four month check-up and she said that she is in the 90% for height and 25% for weight. Long and skinny-just like her mom!! ( just kidding!)

I am trying hard to lose this baby weight. (I know that some of you can relate.) I don't have too much to lose, but I thought I'd start on a good note. I made this huge, delicious chicken spinach salad for me to eat. It is seriously the best salad I have ever eaten. (E-mail me if you want the recipe.) I started out with good intentions, but by lunch the next day, the entire bowl was empty! My efforts totally backfired!! I don't think it counts if you try to eat healthy, but you eat mass amounts. Portion control Kristi, portion control!

As much as my kids can drive me up the wall, I love them each to pieces. I have a little girl named Makenzie who is in first grade this year. She is a passionate, emotional soul who loves to learn and play with friends.
Preston is my four year old. He is such a boy...I love it!! He enjoys giving Mom and Dad hugs, Playing with trains, puzzles, books, etc. He is happy to be in pre-school with other kids his age.
Madison is our newest addition. She was born in May. Her siblings adore her. She is so laid back and sweet. She sleeps about thirteen hours a night, and is happy as long as she is fed on time.

I have seen numerous people that I know that have blogs, so I decided to try it out. I have no idea how often I will post things, and I don't know how to make it cute yet, but I will do my best. My kids are getting ready for bed and want me to get off the computer, but I won't give up my computer time that easily. I am going to give this a chance.
